How do I set up Recurring Transfers?
Learn how to schedule automatic transfers from your GRANITE app balance to your linked bank account.
Recurring Transfers let you schedule automatic transfers from your GRANITE app balance to your linked bank account.
Once set up, the transfer happens automatically based on the schedule you choose. You do not need to create a manual transfer-out request every time.
Before you startMake sure that:
- Your GRANITE account is active.
- You have at least one linked bank account.
- Your available balance is enough for the recurring transfer you want to set.
- You understand that recurring transfers follow the normal transfer-out processing rules.
You can choose one of two transfer types.
1. Transfer out a fixed amount
This option sends the same amount to your selected bank account each time.
Example: You can set a recurring transfer of EGP 10,000 every month.
2. Transfer out your daily returns
This option transfers only the returns available on your balance, instead of transferring from the original amount you placed in GRANITE.
This is useful if you want to keep your main balance in place while regularly moving your returns to your bank account.
How to set up a Recurring TransferFollow these steps in the GRANITE app:
Step 1: Open Recurring Transfers
Go to the Account tab, then select Recurring Transfers.
You will see a short overview explaining how the feature works and where you can track your transfers.
Step 2: Choose your transfer type
Select one of the following:
- Fixed amount
- What you earn
Choose the option that matches how you want your transfers to work.
Step 3: Enter the amount
If you choose Fixed amount, enter the exact amount in EGP or USD that you want transferred each time.
If you choose What you earn, you do not need to enter a fixed transfer amount. The transfer will include only the returns earned during the selected period. For example, if you choose a weekly schedule, only the yield achieved in the previous week will be transferred.
Step 4: Set your schedule
Choose how often you want the transfer to repeat.
You can select:
- Weekly: The transfer repeats every week on the day you choose.
- Monthly: The transfer repeats every month on the date you choose.
Step 5: Choose when it should stop
You can choose whether the recurring transfer should:
- Continue until you cancel it.
- Stop on a specific date.
Step 6: Choose your bank account
Select the linked bank account you want the money transferred to.
Review the details carefully, then confirm.
Once confirmed, your Recurring Transfer is active.
When will the transfer be processed?Recurring Transfers follow the normal transfer-out processing rules.
Transfers are processed according to GRANITE’s standard cutoff time and banking hours. If the transfer is due after the cutoff or cannot be processed on that day, it will be processed on the next business day. If the scheduled transfer date falls on a non-business day, the transfer will be executed on the previous business day.
Will I be notified?Yes. You will be notified before the scheduled transfer date so you know that a recurring transfer is coming up.
Where can I track Recurring Transfers? You can track recurring transfer activity from your Transaction History.
Can I edit a Recurring Transfer?Yes. You can edit your recurring transfer settings at any time.
Go to:
Account > Recurring Transfers
From there, you can update the amount, transfer type, schedule, stopping date, or linked bank account.
Can I pause or cancel a Recurring Transfer?Yes. You stay in control.
You can pause or cancel your recurring transfer at any time from:
Account > Recurring Transfers
Are there any fees?GRANITE does not charge a withdrawal fee.
Some banks may apply a bank transfer fee. For EGP transfers, the fee is EGP 2.0 for CIB and EGP 15 for other banks. For USD transfers, the fee is USD 1.0 for CIB and USD 10.5 for other banks.
This is a bank transfer fee, not a GRANITE withdrawal fee.
What happens if my balance is not enough? If your available balance is not enough on the scheduled transfer date, the recurring transfer may not be completed.
