# What is the difference between Personal and Fund Performance?

## Understand how to read your home screen and what each view represents.

The **Performance** section in the GRANITE app helps you track returns over different time periods (1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, YTD, Max).

You can switch between two views:

- **Personal**
- **Fund**

**Personal Performance** reflects the actual performance of **your account**.

It takes into account:

- When you added funds
- When you made withdrawals
- Your actual balance over time

This means it shows **your real experience**, not just the fund’s performance.

**Fund Performance** shows the performance of the **underlying GRANITE Money Market Fund** over the selected period.

It:

- Reflects the fund’s overall performance
- Is the same for all clients
- Is not affected by your individual transactions

 

The two values may differ because:

- You may have entered at a different time
- You may have added or withdrawn funds during the period
- Your balance may not have been constant

**Fund Performance = how the fund performed**  
**Personal Performance = how you performed**

 

The **Annualized Performance** shows what the selected period’s return would look like if it continued over a full year.

This helps you:

- Compare returns across different time periods
- Understand the rate in annual terms

 

**How should I use this?**

- Use **Personal Performance** to understand your actual returns
- Use **Fund Performance** to understand how the fund is performing overall
