1. What is Granite?
Granite is a digital money market platform that invests in short-term, low-risk instruments such as Egyptian Treasury bills and government bonds. It provides users with stable returns while maintaining full liquidity.
2. How does Granite work?
Granite allows users to invest in money market funds, track their returns in real time, deposit and withdraw funds, and manage their cash securely through a mobile app or web platform.
3. Who can use Granite?
Any individual or corporate entity that meets account opening requirements, including having a valid bank account, can use Granite.

There are TWO important time-related factors to keep in mind if you want to maximize the returns on your funds:

Bank working hours
Most banks process interbank transfers using the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) service, which handles requests in batches.
To earn returns for the day, ensure your funds reach GRANITE’s bank account before 2:00pm.
If you need to withdraw and want your cash available early in your bank account, submit your transfer request after 3:00pm the previous day so it will be processed first thing in the morning.
Account & Registration (C/I)
1. How do I create an account?
Download the app, provide personal details, verify your identity (including completing an eContract via OTP and biometric confirmation), and link your bank account.
2. What documents are required for individuals?
Government-issued ID and linked bank account details.
3. What documents are required for companies?
Completed KYC form, updated Commercial Register, Tax ID, company license, Articles of Association, and valid ID for authorized signatories.
4. Can I use Granite without a bank account?
No. A valid bank account is required for deposits and withdrawals.
5. Can I open multiple Granite accounts?
No. Each user is allowed one Granite account per national ID or corporate entity.
6. How do I reset my password?
Use the “Forgot Password” option in the app. You'll receive an OTP via your registered email or phone number.
7. How do I update my personal or bank details?
Go to Profile > Bank Accounts in the app and follow the prompts to update your linked accounts.
8. What if my KYC fails online?
If you encounter difficulties after three attempts, please contact our support team (via chat or phone) for assistance in resolving the issue.
Deposits & Transactions (C/I)
1. How do I deposit funds?
Transfer funds from your linked bank account. The money is reflected in your Granite account the same or next business day.
2. Is there a minimum deposit?
No minimum deposit is required.
3. Can I automate deposits?
Granite doesn’t offer automated deposits, but your bank may provide this option.
4. How are deposits processed?
Deposits appear as “Cash in Transit” until verified and then are automatically used to purchase fund units at the NAV after the next cut-off time (currently 2:00 PM Cairo time).
5. What is the cut-off time for same-day investment?
Transfers received before 2:00 PM CLT purchase fund units the same business day; after that, units are purchased next business day.
Withdrawals & Liquidity (C/I)
1. How do I withdraw funds?
Log in, select “Withdraw,” enter the amount, and choose your linked bank account.
2. How long do withdrawals take?
Usually within a few hours during banking hours, or next business day.
3. Are there limits on withdrawals?
You can withdraw up to your available balance, accounting for bank transfer fees.
4. Are there any withdrawal fees?
Granite does not charge withdrawal fees; standard bank transfer charges apply.
5. Can I withdraw outside banking hours?
Yes, but processing starts next business day at 09:00 AM.
Returns & Risk (G)
1. How are returns calculated?
Returns are based on daily net asset value (NAV), reflecting interest earned on government securities. Returns are compounded daily.
2. Is Granite risk-free?
Granite invests in government securities which are considered risk-free. However, returns may vary slightly with interest rate changes.
3. Can I lose money using Granite?
Your principal is preserved, but returns can fluctuate slightly with market conditions.
4. What if interest rates fall sharply?
Lower market rates will reduce—but not eliminate—your daily yield. Historically, Egyptian T-bill rates have remained above conventional savings rates.

1. Is the app secure?
Yes. Granite uses bank-grade encryption, robust cybersecurity protocols, and complies with Egyptian data protection laws.

Legal & Compliance (G)
1. Is Granite regulated?
Yes. Granite is licensed and regulated by Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
2. What does FRA regulation mean for clients?
FRA regulation ensures Granite operates transparently under strict rules that protect investors, including oversight of fund operations, risk management, and fair treatment of clients.
3. What languages is Granite available in?
The Granite app is currently only in English. An Arabic version will follow soon. The corporate dashboard is bilingual.
4. What happens on weekends and public holidays?
The NAV is calculated for days off on the next working day. Subscriptions and redemptions are processed on the next working day.
5. Can I pause or freeze my account?
You can suspend your account at any time.
6. What protections are in place if Granite goes out of business?
The fund has a supervisory committee with the necessary independence and legal expertise. The committee oversees the appointment and obligations of the investment manager, custodian, and administration services company. It ensures compliance with disclosure rules, approves financial statements, and safeguards the interests of the fund and its document holders.
Taxes & Fees (C/I/G)
1. Are my returns taxable?
No. Returns on Egyptian Treasury bills and government bonds are currently tax-exempt for investors in Egypt.
2. Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. All returns are displayed net of all fees except for bank transfer fees, which are disclosed before transactions.
Technical & Accessibility (I)
1. Can I use Granite on multiple devices?
Yes. You can log in securely on any device.
2. What happens if I delete the app?
Your investment is unaffected. Reinstall the app and log in anytime.
3. How do I refer friends and earn rewards?
There is no referral program at this time.
