How do I set up Standing Instructions on the corporate dashboard?

Learn how corporate clients can schedule automatic transfers from their GRANITE balance to a linked company bank account.

Setting Up Standing Instructions

Standing Instructions let your company schedule automatic transfers from your GRANITE corporate balance to a linked company bank account.

Once set up and approved, the transfer happens automatically based on the schedule selected. You do not need to create a manual transfer-out request every time.

Before you start

Make sure that:

  • Your corporate GRANITE account is active.
  • Your company has at least one linked and approved bank account.
  • Your available balance is enough for the Standing Instruction you want to set.
  • You have the right dashboard permissions to create, approve, or co-sign the instruction.
  • You understand that Standing Instructions follow the normal transfer-out processing rules.
Who can create or approve Standing Instructions?

Access depends on your assigned dashboard role.

Signatory

A Signatory can create and approve Standing Instructions.

Co-Signatory

A Co-Signatory can create Standing Instructions and provide the required co-sign approval when applicable.

Maker

A Maker can create Standing Instructions but cannot approve or co-sign them.

Checker

A Checker can review, approve, or delete requests created by others, depending on the company’s approval setup.

Transfer types available

You can choose one of two transfer types.

1. Transfer out a fixed amount

This option sends the same amount to your selected company bank account each time.

Example: Your company can set a Standing Instruction to transfer EGP 100,000 every month.

2. Yield Sweep

This option transfers only the returns earned on the corporate balance during the selected period, instead of transferring from the original amount placed in GRANITE.

This is useful if your company wants to keep the main balance in place while regularly moving returns to its bank account.

How to set up a Standing Instruction

Follow these steps from the corporate dashboard:

Step 1: Open Standing Instructions

Log in to the corporate dashboard, then go to Standing Instructions.

You will see an overview explaining how the feature works and where you can track active instructions.

Step 2: Create a new Standing Instruction

Select Create Standing Instruction.

Step 3: Choose your transfer type

Select one of the following:

  • Fixed amount
  • Yield Sweep

Choose the option that matches how your company wants the transfers to work.

Step 4: Enter the amount

If you choose Fixed amount, enter the exact amount in EGP or USD that should be transferred each time.

If you choose Yield Sweep, you do not need to enter a fixed transfer amount. The transfer will include only the returns earned during the selected period.

For example, if you choose a weekly schedule, only the yield achieved in the previous week will be transferred.

Step 5: Set your schedule

Choose how often you want the transfer to repeat.

You can select:

  • Weekly: The transfer repeats every week on the day you choose.
  • Monthly: The transfer repeats every month on the date you choose.

Step 6: Choose when it should stop

You can choose whether the Standing Instruction should:

  • Continue until cancelled.
  • Stop on a specific date.

Step 7: Choose the company bank account

Select the linked company bank account where the money should be transferred.

Only bank accounts already linked and approved on the corporate dashboard can be selected.

Step 8: Review and submit

Review all details carefully, including:

  • Transfer type
  • Amount, if applicable
  • Currency
  • Schedule
  • Stop date, if applicable
  • Destination bank account

Then submit the Standing Instruction.

Depending on your company’s permissions and approval setup, the request may need to be approved or co-signed before it becomes active.

When will the transfer be processed?

Standing Instructions follow the normal transfer-out processing rules.

Transfers are processed according to GRANITE’s standard cutoff time and banking hours. If the transfer is due after the cutoff or cannot be processed on that day, it will be processed on the next business day.

If the scheduled transfer date falls on a non-business day, the transfer will be executed on the previous business day.

Will users be notified?

Yes. Relevant corporate dashboard users will be notified before the scheduled transfer date so the company knows that a Standing Instruction is coming up.

Where can I track Standing Instructions?

You can track Standing Instruction activity from the corporate dashboard.

Automatic transfers will also appear in the transaction history, so your team can follow the status of each transfer.

Can I edit a Standing Instruction?

Yes. A Standing Instruction can be edited from the corporate dashboard, subject to your role permissions.

Go to:

Standing Instructions

From there, authorized users can update the amount, transfer type, schedule, stopping date, or linked bank account.

Changes may require approval or co-signing before they become active.

Can I pause or cancel a Standing Instruction?

Yes. Authorized users can pause or cancel a Standing Instruction at any time from the corporate dashboard.

Go to:

Standing Instructions

Select the instruction you want to manage, then choose the available action.

The action may require approval or co-signing depending on your company’s permission setup.

Are there any fees?

GRANITE does not charge a withdrawal fee.

Some banks may apply a bank transfer fee.

For EGP transfers, the fee is EGP 2.0 for CIB and EGP 15 for other banks.

For USD transfers, the fee is USD 1.0 for CIB and USD 10.5 for other banks.

This is a bank transfer fee, not a GRANITE withdrawal fee.

What happens if the corporate balance is not enough?

If the available corporate balance is not enough on the scheduled transfer date, the Standing Instruction may not be completed.

Authorized users can check the balance and Standing Instruction settings anytime from the corporate dashboard.
